The companies in Elewit’s portfolio continue to make progress in key areas for the evolution of energy infrastructure, from infrastructure digitalization and cybersecurity to advanced data management and the deployment of new technological capabilities for the energy sector.
The progress made during the quarter reflects some of the technological areas that Elewit considers strategic for the future of critical infrastructure: advanced data management, artificial intelligence applied to decision-making, cybersecurity and asset digitalization.
In this context, Nearby Computing has taken a new step in its growth with the closing of a €1.4 million investment round, in which the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT). This backing reinforces the development of technologies that enable applications and data to be managed in a distributed manner, a capability that is increasingly relevant in energy systems where processing must take place close to the assets and not only in centralized data centers.
Managing growing electricity demand has also been the focus of one of Splight’s main developments, as it has joined as a founding partner and board member of the AI Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) alongside companies such as Google, NVIDIA and Emerald AI. The creation of this alliance reflects the growing need to incorporate advanced artificial intelligence tools to manage increasingly complex energy systems with a growing number of players and distributed resources.
For its part, CounterCraft has strengthened its international presence with its entry into Saudi Arabia, where it will focus its activity on sectors such as energy, financial services and public administrations. This expansion also represents a validation of its technology in one of the markets investing most heavily in the protection of critical infrastructure and advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
International recognition has also accompanied the evolution of the portfolio. AssetCool has been selected as one of the ten winning companies of the Powering Tomorrow: Electricity Systems Challenge, an initiative by UpLink and the World Economic Forum. The recognition highlights the growing interest in solutions capable of accelerating the adoption of innovative solutions aimed at optimizing the performance and sustainability of energy infrastructure.
The milestones achieved during the third quarter of the year show how technologies such as edge computing, artificial intelligence applied to energy management, advanced cybersecurity and the optimization of electrical infrastructure are gaining relevance in the market. Through its investment activity, Elewit continues to move closer to these capabilities and support startups that, through innovation, can contribute to a more resilient, efficient grid that is better prepared for the challenges of the energy transition.
