Apogea is a technology engineering and consulting company specialised in the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations) sector. Focused on developing GIS (Geographic Information System) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) software solutions, it provides digital tools that optimise the design, planning, and management of infrastructure and assets in this sector.

Building the future of offshore energy with the development of zero-emission electrical substations

Within the context of the energy transition and the promotion of sustainable solutions to enable renewable electricity generation in the marine environment, the ECOFOSS project stands out as a key advancement in the research and development of high-voltage floating infrastructures. The project aims to design and test at scale a zero-emission high-voltage floating offshore electrical substation, suitable for transmitting large electrical generation capacities (between 400 and 500 MW) at voltage levels of 220 kV.

SAPREM (Sociedad Anónima de Preformados Metálicos) provides innovative, high-quality solutions for electrical, telecommunications and railway infrastructure with the goal of making them safer, more efficient and more sustainable.

The Spanish Technology Platform for Electricity Grids, Futured, is promoted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation through the State Research Agency. It was established in October 2005 with the aim of fostering the technological development of the electricity grid to achieve the objectives of the energy transition.

Through its Corporate Venture Capital arm, Elewit supports the development of new business models aligned with the energy transition and Redeia’s strategic goals.

In the electrical system, energy is primarily transmitted through overhead lines and their supporting structures (transmission towers), which are necessary to hold the conductors and maintain safety distances.
